There’s some great things to be said about mindless tasks.  Some of the most productive solutions and “a ha!” moments come to you while doing activities that let your thoughts wander. 

Normally, my most brilliant ideas come to me while laying in bed right before sleep, followed closely by some really good shower thoughts.

However, today i was doing dishes.  Out of the blue, i remembered Grandma.  She died over 10 years ago, so she doesn’t particularly come up very often.  I remembered how after every school performance, she would come up and give me a hug, and slip 10 dollars into my shirt pocket.  I’m not sure if she always did this, but i remember her doing it throughout high school.  I was in the chorus and orchestra and usually behind the scenes for the school play or musical.  She came to a lot of performances while i was in school.  She was a wonderful woman.
